Here you’ll find all the key information on how to safely join us on the night, a detailed line up of the fun, and who to get in touch with if you’re having tech issues.

What do I need to Boycott my Bed? 

  • Your chosen sleep spot  
  • A strong internet connection
  • A computer  (recommended),  a tablet or smart phone to watch the live stream 
  • A device for taking pictures 
  • A pen and some paper  (for the Trivia Game) 
  • Plenty of  snacks and drinks
  • Bags of creativity and enthusiasm!

How do I join on the night?  

The live stream will be hosted here, and doesn’t require any specific software.We recommend basing yourself inside and somewhere comfortable for the live stream and then move to your sleeping spot once this has ended.It’s a one-way broadcast, so no need for webcams or microphones. 

 

If you have difficulties accessing the live stream webpage don’t worry – a member of our team will be there to help you out. You can use our WhatsApp chat button for real time support – if you can’t access WhatsApp, please e-mail us at [email protected] 

 

Health and Safety 

Please make sure that when taking part in the activities  you are sufficiently fit and healthy. If you’re unsure, please seek medical advice from your GP.

Although Boycott your Bed encourages you to find an unusual place to sleep inside your home, it’s important for you to check the location you plan to sleep in is suitable and safe. When choosing your spot, please consider whether you have any hazards and how you can eliminate or minimize them.

And of course, if you are choosing to sleep outside, please take account of the weather and  plan accordingly!

Line up and timings

Warm welcome to all families boycotting their beds!

18:00 

Tune in to meet your hosts for the night, Anthea Turner and Olivia Cox. Make sure you have your den, bathtub, or tents set up in time for the start of an exciting night of entertainment with some very special guests! Hot chocolate and sweet treats are always a good idea.

Scavenger Hunt

The talented Jessica Hynes will be taking you through the Boycott your Bed Scavenger Hunt. Get ready to race around your home collecting specific items and completing challenges.

Illusionist

Prepare to be amazed by Illusionist Jamie Raven’s spectacular show.

Rave and Misbehave with Sharky & George

Grab your dancing shoes and get on your feet – it’s time to burn off all that energy with DJ Giggle Geezer. Make sure you have enough space to move and dance around the room. You might need some water to rehydrate after!

Use this time to get children ready for boycotting their beds. Get them in their PJs, get their teeth brushed and settle down for our very special bedtime stories.
